DESIGNMIX Professional-Grade Mortar Mix is a specially blended Portland cement / lime based mortar mix that, when prepared properly, will result in a mortar that conforms to the Property Specification requirements of ASTM C 270 (Standard Specification for Mortar for Unit Masonry). DESIGNMIX Professional-Grade Mortar Mix is appropriate for use with brick and concrete block. Properties and uses of mortar vary with specific mortar type. Each DESIGNMIX Professional-Grade Mortar Mix bag is stamped with the mortar mix type as specified by ASTM C 270. DESIGNMIX Mortar Mix is available in Types M, N and S.
Protecting structures from adverse effects of water is a key performance factor in single-wythe and cavity wall construction. Water penetration into CMU and mortar can damage interior finishes, and lead to efflorescence and staining. By combining DRY-BLOCK® Mortar Admixture and our Professional-Grade Mortar at our factory, we're providing you that extra level of assurance and helping you create a less labor-intensive job site.
