If you are a paver or retaining wall installer you need to attend Hardscape North America.
Hardscape North America (HNA) is the country’s best industry tradeshow and education event. Put on by the Concrete Masonry and Hardscape Association (CMHA) in Louisville, Kentucky, this show has over 850 exhibits, the Hardscape House, and a 20+ acre outdoor demonstration area. It is a chance to immerse yourself in the hardscape industry for three days, getting tips from industry experts, learning best practices, and checking out competitions among the country’s best contractor crews.
The competitions are comprised of an awards presentation where the top projects across a variety of categories (concrete pavers, segmental retaining walls, clay pavers, natural stone, and others) are recognized and the HNA Installer Championship. This is the premier event where crews from across the country race against the clock to install a concrete paver patio. It tests the knowledge of industry guidelines and installation skills to determine who is the best installer in the nation.
The Installer Championship breaks down like this: 12 teams begin in the preliminary rounds, where the Top 4 advance to the Championship the following day. The final round gives the teams 90 minutes to install a 10’ x 10’ patio (including compacted base and bedding sand) and wall that will involve some cuts to test the crews’ skills. The teams will also need to be creative and incorporate their own design to stand out from the others.
