CONCRETE MASONRY WITH INTEGRAL WATER REPELLENT
All colored Mutual Materials manufactured concrete masonry units now come with RainBloc®, an integral water repellent. RainBloc, a liquid admixture manufactured into our block, resists wind-driven rain while still maintaining vapor transmission, reducing the chance of mold, mildew, and musty smells from developing inside a building.

The RainBloc anti-wicking feature ensures that masonry units and mortar strongly resist water absorption. If rainwater seeps past the exterior face of the wall, the RainBloc system’s water repellent properties minimize the amount of water that can be absorbed into the concrete, causing any water inside the wall to flow to properly-installed wall flashing and weep holes.

Color Disclaimer for CMU:
The Mutual Materials website shows options for both Ground Face and Split Face CMU, which provides the most consistency in color. While Mutual Materials can manufacture Smooth Face CMU, there can be variance in color due to the manufacturing process. Mutual Materials cannot guarantee color consistency from block to block and between different shapes for Smooth Face, colored CMU. Unpainted block can exhibit random color variations and Smooth Face CMU is best suited for painted applications.
