As technology continues to permeate our lives at work and home, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has the potential to deeply and rapidly change how buildings are designed and constructed. The BIM model provides a digital representation of the building so that the modeling and analysis tools used by architects, engineers, constructors, managers and owners can read from and write to the same information source.
While BIM is expanding quickly within the construction industry worldwide, the masonry industry has been less represented in developing BIM tools specifically for masonry. To address this, in 2012 the Building Information Modeling for Masonry (BIM-M) initiative was formed.  Today, BIM-M initiative focuses on providing masonry solutions for BIM and advancing the industry.
Here are Mutual Materials, we are in support BIM initiatives. Â Today through ARCAT we offer multiple systems of BIM Revit files for our masonry products and in the near future seek to improve our offerings specific to BIM-M and individual products.
